Notice the shrubs along the east trail at the north end. There are many native Eastern Wahoo shrubs, about 4-6 ft tall. This is a Carolinian shrub, that gets bright pink fruits in the fall. Deer eat the leaves and tender shoots. Birds like Cardinal, Brown Thrasher, Easter Bluebird, and Northern Flicker eat the fruits.
